Popol Vuh: livro do conselho ou livro comunit\u00e1rio<\/h2>\n

O Popol Vuh<\/strong> tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 conhecido como livro comunit\u00e1rio ou livro do conselho. De acordo com sua etimologia; Popol significa reuni\u00e3o, comunidade ou conselho, enquanto a palavra Vuh se refere a um livro ou jornal.<\/p>\n

O Popol Vuh<\/strong> tamb\u00e9m foi chamado de livro sagrado ou B\u00edblia Quich\u00e9; por\u00e9m, \u00e9 um pouco falso, pois n\u00e3o \u00e9 um livro espiritual ou revela\u00e7\u00f5es divinas, simplesmente relaciona aspectos ligados \u00e0 origem do mundo, \u00e0 cria\u00e7\u00e3o do homem e da civiliza\u00e7\u00e3o, bem como aos diversos fen\u00f4menos que ocorrem na natureza.<\/p>\n

Origem do Popol Vuh<\/h2>\n

O nome Popol Vuh<\/strong> foi dado pelo padre franc\u00eas Charles \u00c9tienne Brasseur de Bourbourg, em 1861, quando fez uma transcri\u00e7\u00e3o exata das palavras encontradas no texto de Francisco Xim\u00e9nez, quem primeiro traduziu o documento vezes. <\/p>\n

Segundo estudos, acredita-se que a primeira vers\u00e3o deste texto tenha sido escrita na l\u00edngua quich\u00e9 por volta do ano de 1550, por um nativo que, ap\u00f3s aprender a escrever, captou os contos orais de um velho. Se assim fosse e se o referido documento existisse, teria ficado escondido at\u00e9 os anos 1701-1703, quando o padre Frei Francisco Xim\u00e9nez, p\u00e1roco de Santo Tomas de Chichicastenango, o encontrou e o traduziu para o espanhol.<\/p>\n

Esses documentos ficaram arquivados no convento de Santo Domingo at\u00e9 1830, quando foram transferidos para a Universidade de San Carlos da Guatemala. Por volta do ano de 1857, o eclesi\u00e1stico Charles \u00c9tienne Brasseur de Bourbourg, extraiu o exemplar original da Universidade de San Carlos, que levou para a Europa e foi ent\u00e3o que o publicou com o nome de \u201c Popol Vuh<\/strong> \u201d.<\/p>\n

No texto original do Popol Vuh<\/strong> n\u00e3o h\u00e1 divis\u00f5es na hist\u00f3ria; entretanto, as vers\u00f5es mais comuns consistem em fragmentos ou s\u00e3o divididas em partes para facilitar o estudo.<\/p>\n

Este documento cobre uma variedade de t\u00f3picos, em primeiro lugar uma descri\u00e7\u00e3o da origem do mundo, dos animais e como foi apresentado o processo de cria\u00e7\u00e3o dos humanos.
