Oorsprong van Tefnoot<\/h2>\n

Volgens de Egyptische mythologie werd Tefnut<\/strong> geboren met zijn broer Shu,<\/a> door de lichaamsvloeistoffen van de god Atum<\/a> , zij waren de eersten die de aarde bevolkten, Nut-godin van de lucht werd uit hen geboren, en Geb, die de god van de aarde was, waaruit de andere Egyptische goden<\/a> voortkwamen.<\/p>\n

Verschijning<\/h2>\n

De godheid van het vocht heeft een menselijke vorm, met het hoofd van een leeuwin, er zijn echter hi\u00ebrogliefen die haar weergeven als een slang met het hoofd van een leeuwin, ze heeft een zonneschijf op haar hoofd, wat verwijst naar een directe link met Atum<\/a> , God van de zon.<\/p>\n

De afbeelding van een vrouw met het hoofd van een leeuwin is te danken aan een Egyptische legende, die vertelt dat de godin ruzie had met haar echtgenoot, Shu<\/a> , de god van de lucht, en van huis wegliep. Tefnut<\/strong> nam de vorm aan van een leeuwin om iedereen aan te vallen die in de buurt kwam, maar Thoth, de god van de wijsheid, overtuigde hem ervan naar huis terug te keren.<\/p>\n

Zowel Tefnut<\/strong> als Shu<\/a> lieten Nut en Geb als nakomelingen achter, deze lieten op hun beurt de andere Egyptische goden als nakomelingen achter,<\/a> waaronder Osiris<\/a> , de Egyptische god van de wederopstanding; Isis<\/a> , de godin van de troon en het mysterie; Seth<\/a> , de god van de woestijn en Nephthys, de beschermende godin, moeder van Anubis<\/a> , de god van de onderwereld.<\/p>\n
