Chaac<\/strong> vertegenwoordigde de god van de regen, een van de meest gerespecteerde goden onder de Maya-goden<\/strong><\/a> . Hij stond ook bekend als de beschermgod van de landbouw, en daarom werden op het schiereiland Yucatan eerbetoon aan hem betaald, aangezien het water om het te planten essentieel was.<\/p>\n

Chaak<\/h2>\n

Deze goddelijkheid kwam van de slang, die het symbool vertegenwoordigde van water en energie voor het leven, aangezien water het leven op aarde symboliseerde en in de mens het bestaan.<\/p>\n

De god Chaac<\/strong> kan worden gezien als een oude man met een lange neus die een bijl draagt, die bliksem of donder vertegenwoordigt, met een uiterlijk dat lijkt op een amfibie, en daarom werd hij geassocieerd met de pad of kikker.<\/p>\n

Op dezelfde manier brachten ze, omdat hij de god van de regen was, hulde aan hem op het schiereiland Yucatan, waarbij de Maya-stad Uxmal de plaats was van deze ceremonies en waar maskers ter ere van hem werden gevonden. <\/p>\n

In de tempels daar kun je versierde monumenten en gebeeldhouwde beelden zien van Chaac,<\/strong> de regengod, waar eerbetoon aan hem werd betaald voor de oogsten.<\/p>\n

Chaac<\/strong> werd gekenmerkt door vier kleuren die de vier hoofdpunten symboliseerden, naast het belichamen van de niveaus van zuivering in de stadia van interne ontwikkeling:<\/p>\n

  • Ek Xib: was zwart, vertegenwoordigd door de zwarte kraai.<\/li>\n
  • Xib-tas: de kleur was wit, gesymboliseerd door de witte duif.<\/li>\n
  • Kan Xib: hij was geel, belichaamd door de gele adelaar.<\/li>\n
  • Chac Xib: hij was rood, gepersonifieerd door de rode fazant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Maya-esoterie en mythologie<\/h3>\n

    Water vertegenwoordigt creatieve energie. Omdat het de god Chaac<\/strong> is, de godheid van de regen, wordt het belang van de manier waarop creatieve energie in de mens kan worden gericht eraan toegeschreven.<\/p>\n
