Voor het katholicisme is dit bijvoorbeeld de Bijbel, voor joden wordt het de Thora genoemd en in de Bijbel. In het geval van de Maya&#8217;s staat hun heilige boek bekend als de Popol Vuh. In dit heilige boek kun je de kleinste details vinden van alle <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ancientmythology.org\/nl\/goden-5\/\">Mayagoden<\/a><\/strong> die destijds bestonden, waarbij je bijvoorbeeld <strong>Ixblanqu\u00e9<\/strong> kunt noemen. <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> <strong>ixbalanque<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p> Volgens de Maya-religie konden de broers en zussen, als ze het product waren van de geboorte en een tweeling waren, als een zegen of een straf worden beschouwd, omdat ze goede of slechte <strong>Maya-goden<\/strong> konden worden en indien nodig een van hen moest worden geofferd aan problemen vermijden.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Welk belang heeft <strong>Ixbalanqu\u00e9<\/strong> in de Maya-religie?<\/h2>\n<p> <strong>Ixbalanqu\u00e9<\/strong> geeft samen met zijn broer <a href=\"https:\/\/ancientmythology.org\/nl\/hunahpu\/\">Hunahp\u00fa<\/a> de overwinning aan de bevolking, aangezien ze de heren van Xibalb\u00e1, ook wel bekend als \u2018heren van de dood\u2019, versloegen van wie ze erin slaagden alle duistere krachten die ze bezaten te verwijderen.<\/p>\n<p> Dankzij het feit dat deze <strong>Maya-goden<\/strong> erin slaagden het kwaad te verslaan, werden ze verheven tot een hoge categorie van goddelijkheid en om deze reden werden ze erkend als de goden van de tijd.
