De Romeinse mythologie erkent Juno<\/strong> als de Romeinse beschermgodin van het huwelijk; onder de Romeinse goden<\/a><\/strong> bekleedde ze een belangrijke positie als onderdeel van de Capitolijnse Triade, en als godheid van het huwelijk werd ze ook erkend als een representatie van het moederschap.<\/p>\n

Juno, Romeinse godin van het huwelijk en het moederschap<\/h2>\n

Waardige dochter van de godin Ops en Saturnus<\/a> , zuster van Jupiter<\/a> , met wie ze later trouwde en ze kregen drie kinderen genaamd Mars, Ilithia en Vulcan. Voor de Romeinen was de godin Juno<\/strong> een van de belangrijkste godheden omdat zij de levenskracht en de oorsprong van het huwelijk en het moederschap vertegenwoordigde. Dit kwam bovenop het feit dat zij een van de belangrijkste goden van de Romeinse religie was.<\/p>\n

De Romeinen schreven verschillende namen en betekenissen toe aan deze godin, maar elk daarvan hield rechtstreeks verband met de hoofdbetekenis van de familie. Enkele van de toegeschreven namen, functies en betekenissen zijn:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Domiduca:<\/strong> wat betekent dat de bruid naar een nieuw huis wordt gebracht<\/li>\n
  • Cinxia:<\/strong> zoals degene die de sjaal van de bruid verliest<\/li>\n
  • Interduca:<\/strong> degene die de bruid naar het huwelijk begeleidt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Elk van deze betekenissen houdt rechtstreeks verband met wat specifiek is voor het huwelijk en zelfs voor de conceptie of het moederschap, zoals de betekenis die ze aan Cinxia geven.<\/p>\n

    De godin Juno in de Romeinse religie<\/h3>\n

    Omdat er in de Romeinse kalender een religieus feest van de eerste marzo voorkomt, vindt deze gebeurtenis plaats tijdens een grote viering van de verjaardag van de moeder, die wordt opgedragen ter ere van de dood van de parto en de moeder, of ook van de lamaban \u2018de een die de kinderen naar het licht traceert”.<\/p>\n

    Haar gelijkenis met Hera uit de Griekse mythologie, echtgenote van Zeus, moeder van Ares, Hebe, Hephaestus, Iris en Ilithia is te wijten aan het feit dat de Romeinse mythologie een religieuze toe-eigening had in relatie tot de Griekse goden.
