In de Egyptische mythologie<\/a> was Harsomtus<\/strong> een scheppergod, erkend als de verenigende god van de twee landen. Hij wordt ook toegeschreven als de god van voedsel, schepping en vruchtbaarheid.<\/p>\n

Het is een van de Egyptische<\/strong> goden<\/strong><\/a> waarvan de legende zeer gevarieerd is; we vinden dat de vertegenwoordiging en naam divers is, afhankelijk van de regio. Ook de opvatting van zijn macht varieert, maar wat voor iedereen gemeenschappelijk blijft is de link met de schepping, de vruchtbaarheid en de ritme van de zon vanaf haar geboorte tot haar ondergang, zoals het proces dat de lotus laat bloeien.<\/p>\n

de Triade<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Verslagen uit de Egyptische mythologie presenteren Harsomtus als de zoon van Hathor<\/a> (godin van de liefde, vreugde van dans en muziek) en Horus<\/a> Behdety (god van de lucht, oorlog en jacht). Deze drie goden vormden de zogenaamde Edfu-triade.<\/p>\n

Harsomtus werd aanbeden onder de aanroeping van \u201c Horus vereniger van het dubbele land\u201d<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

De legende geeft aan dat deze godheid dezelfde macht heeft in verschillende populaties; voor sommigen wordt ze voorgesteld als een kind op een lotusbloem, in andere gevallen wordt ze waargenomen als een kinderslang die op zijn eigen staart wordt ondersteund. <\/p>\n

De symboliek van deze godheid is gekoppeld aan de lotusbloem, aangezien deze bloem zich opent bij zonsopgang en zonsondergang, zich sluit en in het water zinkt, vergelijkbaar met de dagelijkse zonsopgang en zonsondergang.<\/p>\n

Voor anderen werd hij ge\u00efdentificeerd met Harpocrates, die ook de dageraad of winterzon symboliseert, en voortdurende vernieuwing.<\/p>\n

De grootste cultus van Harsomtus<\/strong> werd beoefend tijdens landbouwrituelen en tijdens maanfestivals, waar de bevolking hem voornamelijk aanbad. Dendera is de naam van deze bevolking, er verschijnen afbeeldingen op de muren die dit bewijzen.<\/p>\n
