Vanuit het tao\u00efsme<\/strong> is het concept Yin en Yang<\/strong> gevormd, twee begrippen die verwijzen naar of representeren van de dualiteit die deze filosofie kenmerkt, aangezien daaruit het hele bestaande universum wordt verklaard.<\/p>\n

In deze geest beschrijven Yin en Yang<\/strong> de twee fundamentele krachten, die beide tegengesteld zijn, maar elkaar aanvullen, en die in alle dingen aanwezig zijn. Wat Yin<\/u><\/strong> betreft, het is het vrouwelijke principe, duisternis, passiviteit, absorptie en aarde. Wat Yang<\/u><\/strong> betreft, het is het mannelijke principe, licht, lucht, activiteit en penetratie. <\/p>\n

\"El<\/p>\n

Oorsprong van Yin en Yang<\/h2>\n

De oorspronkelijke betekenis van de termen Yin en Yang<\/strong> is niet precies bekend. Wat het traditionele Chinese karakter voor yin betreft, dit vertegenwoordigt het noordelijke en bewolkte deel van een berg, terwijl het in het geval van het vereenvoudigde karakter het karakter voor de maan<\/em> heeft. Op de Yang is het degene die de zuidelijke en zonnige helling van een berg vertegenwoordigt, in de vereenvoudigde versie verschijnt de zon<\/em> .<\/p>\n

Volgens de filosoof Wing-Tsit Chan worden deze twee concepten geassocieerd met de natuurlijke verschijnselen van bewolking die de zon bedekt en de helderheid ervan. Wat Mircea Eliade betreft, citeert hij Marcel Granet om aan te geven dat de term yin verband houdt met kou, binnenland en dekking, terwijl yang verband houdt met de begrippen hitte en zonneschijn.<\/p>\n

Afgezien van het bovenstaande zijn dit twee concepten die (waarschijnlijk) hun oorsprong te danken hebben aan agrarische religies. Dit als representatie van de antagonistische krachten die elkaar gelijktijdig aanvulden en waarvan we zelfs al sinds de bronstijd van het oude China bewijs kunnen zien.<\/p>\n
