In de Mesopotamische mythologie<\/strong> is er een figuur genaamd Ningal “<\/strong> De Grote Dame”, “De Grote Dame” of “De Grote Koningin”. Deze godheid was de godin van het riet en de godin van de maan omdat zij de vrouw van Sin was. Het is daarom ook belangrijk om op te merken dat het is afgebeeld met een halve maan.<\/p>\n

Ningal, de grote dame <\/h2>\n

Ze staat bekend als de dochter van Enki<\/a> , de Sumerische god van water, vruchtbaarheid en wijsheid, en Ningikuga, de oude Mesopotamische godin van riet en moerassen, waardoor deze grote godheid een van de Mesopotamische goden<\/strong><\/a> is.<\/p>\n

De grote dame was de vrouw van Nannar, genaamd Sin<\/a> in het Akkadisch, de god van de maan, met wie ze twee tweelingkinderen kreeg, een man en een vrouw, die Sjamasj waren, bekend als Utu, \u2018de god van de zon\u2019 in de Sumeri\u00ebrs, en Ishtar<\/a> bekend als in de Sumerische mythologie als Inanna \u201cDe godin van de liefde, oorlog en de beschermende godheid van de stad Uruk\u201d.<\/p>\n

Er wordt gezegd dat hij aanvankelijk werd vereerd door de veehoeders die in de moerassen van zuidelijk Mesopotami\u00eb woonden, en dat hij werd aanbeden op een altaar dat ze hadden voor de godheid in de tempel van Egipar.<\/p>\n

De grote koningin werd ook samen met haar vrouw aanbeden in de stad Ur en in het heiligdom van Harran dat in Syri\u00eb lag.<\/p>\n

Nigal werd beschouwd als de beschermer van Ur, omdat ze vertelt dat ze Enlil<\/a> smeekte om te voorkomen dat de Annunaki haar stad verwoestten en onder water zetten.<\/p>\n
