Phoebe <\/h2>\n

In de Griekse mythologie<\/strong> is ze een van de Titanen die voortkomt uit de vereniging van Uranus<\/a> en Gaia<\/a> . Ze is de zus van de Titanen<\/strong><\/a> Oceaan, Ceo<\/a> , Cr\u00edo<\/a> , Hyperion<\/a> , Iapetus<\/a> , Cronus<\/a> , Rhea<\/a> , Tea<\/a> , Themis, Mnem\u00f3syne en Tethys. Phoebe is de vrouw van Ceo, in haar verbintenis met hem bracht de titanide Leto en Asteria ter wereld.<\/p>\n

Ze werd beschouwd als de woordvoerder van de wijsheid van Gaia, als complement van haar echtgenoot Ceo, de woordvoerder van de kennis van Uranus, op deze manier waren haar twee dochters Leto en Asteria de vertegenwoordiging van helderziendheid.<\/p>\n

Asteria en haar dochter Hecate kunnen de profetische kracht van de nacht, geesten, overleden wezens en duisternis voorspellen.<\/p>\n

Aan de andere kant had Leto twee kinderen, de tweeling Artemis en Apollo, met wie hij de profetische kracht van licht en de lucht voorspelde.<\/p>\n

Phoebe en het Delphisch Orakel <\/h3>\n

Themis overhandigde de kracht van het Delphi-orakel aan Phoebe, die het vervolgens aan haar kleinzoon Apollo gaf. Dit orakel werd toegeschreven aan drie generaties goden, eerst aan Uranus die het aan zijn vrouw Gaea gaf, en vervolgens schreef Cronos het aan Themis toe.<\/p>\n

Artemis werd Phoebe genoemd in haar rol als godin van de maan en als vrouwelijke partner van haar tweelingbroer Apollo, die Phoebo (de stralende) heette. Leucipo had een dochter die hij ook Phoebe noemde, net als Tindareo en Leda.<\/p>\n
