Garandeer het leven en de vrijheid van zijn zus.<\/p>\n<p> Van daaruit komt hij tevoorschijn en verkrijgt de riem van Hercules. Een van zijn metgezellen, <a href=\"https:\/\/ancientmythology.org\/nl\/deze\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Theseus<\/a> , ontvoerde Hippolyta&#8217;s andere zus, Antiope.<\/p>\n<p> De situatie verslechterde door de tussenkomst van Hera (de vijand van Hercules) die zich voordeed als Amazones en het gerucht verspreidde dat Hercules daar was om hen aan te vallen en zelfs de koningin te veroveren.
