Dione is de moeder van Aphrodite.<\/p>\n<h3> cultus van dion<\/h3>\n<p> Ondanks het feit <em>dat Hesiodus<\/em> het niet in de <a href=\"https:\/\/ancientmythology.org\/nl\/titanen\/\">Titanides<\/a> opneemt, maar in de Oceaniden, beschouwde <em>Apollodorus<\/em> het op deze manier.<\/p>\n<p> Net als haar zussen was <strong>Dione<\/strong> een orakelgodin. In die zin bezat Phoebe Delphi, Mnemosyne Lebadeia, Themisel Delphi en die van Dodona, om deze met Dione te delen. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5732\" src=\"https:\/\/ancientmythology.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/deesse-grecque-dione.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"799\" srcset=\"\" sizes=\"auto, \" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p> In het oude orakel van Zeus in Dodona in Thesprotia werd Dione beschouwd als de vrouw van Zeus in plaats van Hera. Van de oude profetessen van de tempel, gezamenlijk de <em>Peleiades<\/em> genoemd, wordt aangenomen dat ze waarschijnlijk de priesteressen waren.<\/p>\n<h2> De mythe van Dione<\/h2>\n<p> Zoals beschreven door <em>Homerus<\/em> in Canto V van de Ilias, slaagde de krijger Diomedes, beschermd door Athene, erin Aeneas, de zoon van Aphrodite, te verslaan in een van zijn veldslagen tijdens de Trojaanse oorlog. Op dat moment viel Aeneas op zijn knie\u00ebn en legde zijn hand op de grond, terwijl de nacht zijn ogen bedekte. Hoe dan ook, Diomedes zette zijn impuls voort en viel <em>Aphrodite<\/em> aan, waarbij hij haar hand verwondde. Als resultaat van het bovenstaande vroeg de godin haar broer Ares, de god van de oorlog, om haar zijn strijdwagen te lenen om terug te keren naar Olympus, geleid door Iris.<\/p>\n<p> Eenmaal aangekomen op Olympus zoekt Aphrodite haar toevlucht op de knie\u00ebn van haar moeder Dione, die haar uiteraard in haar armen ontvangt en haar hand streelt. Bovendien vertelde hij zijn dochter dat, aangezien een sterveling verantwoordelijk was voor haar pijn, hij die pijn zou moeten dragen, aangezien het gebruikelijk was dat mannen dit soort overtredingen begaan.
