Asclepius<\/strong> of Asclepius<\/strong> is een minder belangrijke god<\/strong> die deel uitmaakt van de Griekse mythologie<\/strong><\/a> en wordt erkend als de god van de geneeskunde en genezing<\/em> . Vanwege een precedent werd hij in Griekenland met klem vereerd in heiligdommen,<\/strong> waaronder Epidaurus<\/em> in de Peloponnesos<\/em> , een plaats van waaruit de medische school zich werkelijk ontwikkelde.<\/p>\n

Interessant is dat de familie van Hippocrates<\/em> tot de afstammelingen van deze god behoorde, een van de redenen waarom de capaciteiten van Hippocrates op het gebied van de geneeskunde worden verklaard.<\/p>\n

De God Asclepius<\/h2>\n

Wat Asclepius’ attributen als Griekse god<\/a> betreft,<\/strong> hij werd altijd afgebeeld met slangen om zijn staf gewikkeld, lauwerkransen, ananassen, een hond of een geit. De meest voorkomende is in ieder geval altijd de slang geweest, omdat het volgens de deskundigen een dier is dat op aarde en ook binnenshuis leefde. <\/p>\n

\"Asclepio<\/p>\n

De gave die de god Asclepius<\/strong> speciaal maakt, is zijn vermogen om te genezen, naast dat hij een groot kenner is van vegetatie en geneeskrachtige planten<\/u><\/em> .<\/p>\n

Oorsprong van Asclepius<\/h3>\n

De geschiedenis vertelt ons dat zijn vader Apollo<\/em> was en zijn moeder Coronides<\/em> (in sommige versies bekend als Arsinoe<\/em> ). Sinds hij nog maar een kind was, leerde de centaur Chiron<\/em> hem alles leren wat met de kunst van het genezen te maken had, vooral het gebruik van geneeskrachtige planten.<\/p>\n

Het vermogen dat in de mythe van Asclepius<\/strong> wordt verhaald, was dat van dit personage, dat hij in staat was de doden weer tot leven te wekken. Als reactie hierop besluit Zeus<\/em> , een beetje bang om het hiernamaals onbewoond te zien, het met bliksem te doden.
