Foto von Openverse<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p> <strong>Chilam Balam<\/strong> ist in der <a href=\"https:\/\/ancientmythology.org\/de\/maya\/\">Maya-Mythologie<\/a> als Name mehrerer B\u00fccher bekannt, die die Geschichte der Maya-Zivilisation erz\u00e4hlen und nach der spanischen Eroberung geschrieben wurden.<\/p>\n<p> Jedes dieser B\u00fccher ist nach der Stadt benannt, in der es geschrieben wurde, weshalb es an verschiedenen Orten ein <strong>Chilam Balam<\/strong> gibt. Zu den wichtigsten z\u00e4hlen: Man\u00ed, Tizim\u00edn, Chumayel, Kaua, Ixil, Tusik, Tekax, Nah, Yaxkukul.<\/p>\n<p> Diese Texte haben einen bedeutenden mythischen und prophetischen Inhalt, der etwas kompliziert ist, da die Maya Zukunftsvorhersagen in einer verwirrenden metaphorischen Sprache erz\u00e4hlten, was sie schwer verst\u00e4ndlich machte.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Etymologie von Chilam Balam<\/h3>\n<p> Da es in der Maya-Sprache viele W\u00f6rter gibt, die gleich geschrieben sind, aber nicht die gleiche Bedeutung haben, gibt es keine genaue Gewissheit dar\u00fcber, was <strong>Chilam Balam<\/strong> bedeutet. Dennoch legen sie bei den B\u00fcchern immer noch Wert auf diesen Titel.<\/p>\n<p> Chilam bedeutet Mund oder jemand, der ein Mund ist, das hei\u00dft jemand, der prophezeit. Dieser Titel wurde Maya-Priestern verliehen, die alte B\u00fccher interpretierten, um Prophezeiungen zu extrahieren und zuk\u00fcnftige Ereignisse vorherzusagen. Aus diesem Grund wurden sie als Wahrsager oder Propheten verehrt.<\/p>\n<p> W\u00e4hrend Balam Zauberer, Magier oder Jaguar bedeutet. Daher kann der <strong>Chilam Balam<\/strong> \u00fcbersetzt werden als: Mund der Hexe, Mund des Jaguars, Mund des Jaguargottes, Hexenpriester, Jaguarpriester oder Priester des Jaguargottes.<\/p>\n<p> Es gibt jedoch eine andere Version, die besagt, dass diese B\u00fccher nach einem Priester aus der Stadt Man\u00ed namens Balam benannt sind, der einen gro\u00dfen Ruf als Prophet hatte, weil er viele Ereignisse vorhersagte.
