Es stellt die intrinsischste Beziehung zwischen Leben und Tod dar. Sie war die Mutter der Centzon Huitzn\u00e1huac und der Coyolxauhqui, die nach ihrem Tod durch die Hand ihres Bruders, des Gottes Huitzilopochtli, zu Sternen bzw. Mond wurden.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Nachkommen von Coatlicue<\/h2>\n<p> Der Legende nach fegte <strong>Coatlicue<\/strong> friedlich die Schl\u00e4fe, in der sie sich befand, bis sie von einem Ball aus hellen, wundersch\u00f6nen Federn befruchtet wurde. Diese Schwangerschaft f\u00fchrte dazu, dass ihre ersten Kinder vor Eifersucht brannten und versuchten, sie zu t\u00f6ten, doch sie wurde von dem neugeborenen Huitzilopochtli verteidigt, der alle ihre Halbgeschwister t\u00f6tete.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Darstellung von Coatlicue<\/h2>\n<p> Die Art und Weise, wie diese Gottheit deutlich dargestellt wurde, offenbart ihre t\u00f6dlichere Seite in der Dualit\u00e4t, G\u00f6ttin des Lebens und des Todes zu sein. Sie trug einen Rock aus ineinander verschlungenen Schlangen unter einem Schlangeng\u00fcrtel, in dessen Mitte sich ebenfalls ein Totenkopf befand.<\/p>\n<p> Sie hatte schlaffe Br\u00fcste, was darauf hindeutete, dass sie G\u00f6tter und Menschen gestillt hatte. An ihrem Hals hing eine Halskette aus menschlichen H\u00e4nden und Herzen, die den Opfern abgenommen wurden, denen sie als Opfer dargebracht wurden.<\/p>\n<p> Es hatte Krallen an H\u00e4nden und F\u00fc\u00dfen, mit denen es den ganzen Dreck zerriss und dann verschlang.
