In der Maya-Mythologie wurde er als ein einziger Gott dargestellt, obwohl man auch glaubte, dass es vier gleichzeitig gab und dass er auf diese Weise jeden Winkel des Universums hielt. Man glaubte auch, dass <strong>Pawaht\u00fan<\/strong> im Himmel, auf der Erde und in der Unterwelt lebte, und deshalb waren die Gew\u00f6lbe getrennt und aufrecht.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Auftritt von Pawahtun<\/h2>\n<p> Diese Gottheit wurde als alter Mann dargestellt, der mit erhobenen Armen sa\u00df und so den Kosmos st\u00fctzte. Eine andere seiner Darstellungen war die eines alten Mannes, der aus einem Schneckenhaus auftauchte und ebenfalls mit einem seiner Arme den Kosmos st\u00fctzte und auf dessen Kopf eine Lotusblume wuchs. Er wurde auch als Mann mit einem Schildkr\u00f6tenpanzer auf dem R\u00fccken dargestellt.<\/p>\n<p> Eine andere Legende besagt, dass <strong>Pawaht\u00fan<\/strong> mit den Bacabob verwandt war, sie behaupten sogar, dass sie dasselbe Wesen seien. Die Bacabob waren vier Br\u00fcder, die sich in den Ecken des Kosmos aufhielten und daf\u00fcr sorgten, dass der Kosmos an seinem Platz blieb. Die \u00c4hnlichkeit ihrer Funktionen brachte sie schnell dazu, sich zusammenzutun.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Pawaht\u00fans Beziehung zur Menschheit<\/h2>\n<p> Zus\u00e4tzlich zur Aufrechterhaltung des Kosmos war <strong>Pawaht\u00fan<\/strong> daf\u00fcr verantwortlich, die letzten f\u00fcnf Tage des Sonnenkalenders oder \u201eWayeb\u201c, besser bekannt als die \u201eber\u00fcchtigten Tage\u201c oder \u201enamenlosen Tage\u201c, zu leiten.
