Herkunft<\/h3>\n

Sein Name leitet sich vom alten Sanskrit \u201eAmitabha\u201c ab, dessen Bedeutung darin besteht, eine unermessliche Quelle des Lebens und des Lichts zu sein.<\/p>\n

Es wird angenommen, dass Amitabha einst in dieser Welt oder vielleicht in einer anderen Welt war, ein M\u00f6nch namens Dharmak\u0101ra, ein K\u00f6nig, der auf seinen Thron verzichtete, um ein Buddha zu werden und Buddhak\u1e63hetra (eine erreichbare Welt eines anderen Universums au\u00dferhalb der Raumzeit) in Besitz zu nehmen durch das Verdienst eines Buddha).<\/p>\n

Ohne Zweifel ist er der wichtigste Buddha der Sekte des Reinen Landes, die einem der Hauptzweige des Buddhismus in Ostasien entstammt.<\/p>\n
