Schamasch<\/strong> war einer der G\u00f6tter Mesopotamiens<\/a> ,<\/strong> besser bekannt als der Gott der Sonne und der Gerechtigkeit. Laut sumerischen Texten wurde dieser Gott als Gouverneur dargestellt, von dem aus er auf seinem Thron im Himmel sitzend alles sehen konnte, was geschah und erleuchtete die ganze Erde mit ihrer Pracht und W\u00e4rme versorgt.<\/p>\n

Shamash, Gott der Sonne<\/strong> <\/h2>\n

Jeden Morgen kam er von Osten her und bei Sonnenuntergang verlie\u00df er das Land von Westen. In der Nacht reiste er durch die Unterwelt<\/a> , um einen neuen Tag zu beginnen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus war er der Gott von ganz Babylon, wo er als der h\u00f6chste Gott bekannt war. Ebenso hatte dieser Gott seinen Altar in der Stadt Sippar, wo ihn die dortigen Bewohner den Sohn Anus<\/a> nannten.<\/p>\n

Heldentaten des Gottes Schamasch<\/strong> <\/h3>\n

Schamasch<\/strong> hatte eine sehr wichtige Aufgabe und diese bestand darin, alle Angelegenheiten zu \u00fcberwachen. Au\u00dferdem musste er L\u00fcgen, Betr\u00fcgereien und L\u00fcgen in den Menschen aufdecken, was ihn zu einem wahren Gott machte. Ebenso war er daf\u00fcr verantwortlich, die Menschheit vor dem B\u00f6sen zu sch\u00fctzen und Fl\u00fcche.<\/p>\n

Ebenso spielte es eine sehr wichtige Rolle bei Opferritualen, bei denen R\u00e4tsel gestellt wurden und wer nicht richtig antwortete, wurde ermordet.<\/p>\n

Aus diesem Grund widmete sich jeder Teilnehmer dem Gebet zum gro\u00dfen Gott Schamasch<\/strong> um die richtige Antwort.<\/p>\n

Ebenso war er daf\u00fcr verantwortlich, die Welt der Toten und die Welt der Lebenden getrennt zu halten, da die Geister die Unterwelt verlie\u00dfen und durch einen Durchgang am Horizont in die Erde eindrangen.<\/p>\n
