Er war einer von zwei Titanen, die keine seiner Schwestern heirateten (die zweite war <a href=\"https:\/\/ancientmythology.org\/de\/kind\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b><i>Crio<\/i><\/b><\/a> ).<\/p>\n<p> Die Frau von <b>Iapetus<\/b> war eine seiner Nichten, die Ozeanide <i>Clymene<\/i> (ber\u00fchmt).<\/p>\n<p> Ihre Nachkommen werden \u00fcblicherweise nach den Patronymformen Jap\u00e9tidas oder Japet\u00f3nidas genannt.
